Absorption Method Used at Our Clinic: Layering Technique

Considering that JUVENLOOK is difficult to absorb into the skin through simple topical application, our clinic

employs a layering absorption technique for skinboosters using MTS (Microneedle Therapy System) and needle radiofrequency (Potenza RF) devices.

JUVENLOOK skinbooster particles are approximately 30-50μm in size. While these particles can be absorbed with the help of MTS and Potenza RF, a layering technique is applied to minimize drug loss during treatment.

Layering Technique Using MTS

MTS creates microscopic channels approximately 150μm in size on the skin's surface, preparing an absorption pathway for drug ingredients.

At our clinic, we apply a 4-step layering method during MTS treatment to enhance absorption rates.

The treatment concludes with soothing care, including a Jaungo modeling mask, to reduce the possibility of inflammatory reactions and stabilize the skin.

Layering Technique Using Potenza RF Needle Radiofrequency

Micropassages approximately 180μm in size are created, and then high-frequency heat is used to contract these passages. This prevents fluid backflow (overflow) that can occur during typical needle procedures. Consequently, it helps reduce drug loss of JUVENLOOK components and ensures more accurate delivery to the dermal layer.

Compared to manual injection methods, there might be slightly more drug loss, but it offers the advantage of more uniform drug delivery to the target dermal layer. Additionally, it allows for even absorption with less pain.

Similar to MTS treatment, needle depth can be adjusted, so the 4-step layering technique is applied during the procedure.

Why Does Our Clinic Use This Treatment Method?

JUVENLOOK is originally a preparation provided in powder form.

Therefore, it requires a process of sufficient dilution in saline solution to stabilize its viscosity.

If treated with a manual injection method, insufficient dilution or difficulty in controlling injection depth could lead to the medication clumping in one spot, potentially causing nodules.

Furthermore, if the medication is injected into the subcutaneous fat layer instead of the target dermal layer, it may be difficult to achieve the expected results.

When performing injection procedures, even with a consistent approach, it's difficult to completely rule out the possibility of nodule side effects. Therefore, we prioritize safety so that our patients can receive treatment with peace of mind, while also striving to achieve satisfactory results.

What is Juvelook Skinbooster?

Juvelook is a new skin booster that combines PDLLA (Poly-D,L-lactic acid) and hyaluronic acid (HA).

This treatment can help improve skin texture, pores, fine lines, and acne scars. It is gaining attention as a regenerative skin booster that stimulates the skin's own collagen and elastin production in the dermis layer, leading to overall improvement in skin elasticity and density.

PDLLA has a smaller particle size than conventional PLLA (an ingredient with larger particles, like Sculptra, which is associated with the possibility of nodules). Juvelook consists of the following ingredients:

PDLLA 42.5mg (an ingredient that helps stimulate the skin's own collagen production)

Non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid 7.5mg (contributes to skin hydration and improves barrier function)

When PDLLA is injected into the dermis, it can activate fibroblasts, inducing the production of collagen and elastin fibers.

Collagen plays a crucial role in skin thickness and density, while elastin is important for elasticity.

When both fibers increase simultaneously, it can contribute to improving fine lines, enlarged pores, and issues of decreased elasticity.

Furthermore, PDLLA also stimulates stem cells to induce the differentiation of new fibroblasts.

What is the Clinical Basis for Juvelook?
